Healthy self-esteem is a prerequisite for healthy relationships. From my personal experiences, and my years spent writing about relationships, I’ve learned that poor self-esteem is the number one cause of unhealthy relationships, as well as the top relationship killer.
Not everyone is a match and sometimes, two people are just incompatible.
This doesn’t make either of them flawed or bad – sometimes it’s just not there.
This obviously does not do much to help one’s sense of autonomy, which is also a key element of healthy self-esteem. Confident women don’t show off or talk themselves up.
Confident people don’t need to tell the world how great they are.
People with high self-esteem believe they are worthy of love and don’t question how someone feels about them.
