Since it started working in 2005 it has helped over 3,500 kids.They require a 6 to 12 month commitment from volunteers.AIM abroad – This organization provides volunteering opportunities on different projects including teaching, taking care of orphans, providing medical services, and assisting women among others.
Servants of the King Development Aid and Welfare Society – This organization was founded to help advance peace, racial reconciliation, and mutual international understanding between people of diverse cultures through volunteer service on long-term community development programs.
Volunteers will teach/train small groups of children or adults for 4 hours per day and also help as needed with administrative and marketing work.
All they ask for is that you speak English and have the will to work. They have several programs and projects that focus on education, empowerment, environmental conservation, microfinance and health. The duration can be anything between 8 weeks and 1 year.
Friends of IACC – This is a volunteer community project to fix, maintain and improve the “Integrated Animal Care Center, Auroville” so it can continue to care for stray dogs and other animals.
Mosaic Junction – This organization works with young adults suffering from autism, cancer, hearing and visual impairment, and other disabilities using art therapy.
