Monthly updates check weekly and notify you within 30 days that an update is available, however, if an update is considered critical you are notified within a week of its release.

From the Java Control Panel Update tab, you can manually check for an update any time by clicking on the Update Now button located at the bottom of the Update tab on the Java Control Panel.

From Fireware Web UI, you can see the versions of Fireware OS that are available for your Firebox to upgrade to: If a higher version of Fireware OS is available for your Firebox, you can use the Web UI to download and install the upgrade directly from Watch Guard, or you can download the upgrade to your management computer and use Policy Manager or the Web UI install it on your Firebox from there. Before you can use Policy Manager or Fireware Web UI to upgrade the version of Fireware OS on your Firebox, you must first download the latest OS upgrade file for your Firebox model and install it on your management computer.
