Everyone agrees on this much in the homicide of pharmaceutical executive Michael Mc New: The 64-year-old businessman was found dead in his home in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania, on Aug. His body was in a chair and an autopsy showed that he’d been killed 24 to 48 hours earlier.
Before he died, he exchanged aggressive text messages and argued with 33-year-old Jennifer Lynn Morrissey, an exotic dancer and motorcycle mechanic and the woman now charged with his slaying.
“Mc New further texted that Morrissey was not welcome at the home and that he would defend himself if she came into his home,” the affidavit states.
Morrissey responded by allegedly sending him threatening texts, according to affidavit.
Morrissey’s arrest in September was the most serious in a series of alleged offenses: Court records show she has previously been jailed and confessed to drunken and careless driving.
